“ACTION IS MOVEMENT WITH INTELLIGENCE. THE WORLD IS FILLED WITH MOVEMENT. WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS IS MORE CONSCIOUS MOVEMENT, MORE ACTION.”

I believe approaching life with voracious curiosity, discipline and courage in order to show up and serve the world better. Over 20 years ago I gave up alcohol and have been chasing wellness ever since. I didn’t like my first yoga class when I was 19, fast forward some years, a couple kids, and a ferocious anxiety level I landed in a prenatal yoga class while pregnant with my 3rd son. That’s where I found a sense of peace, a practice that calmed my fears and worries and a supportive community.

In 2017 God basically drove my car to the front door of The Yoga Dojo in Richmond, VA for the first time, to which one of my best friends for many years opened the door and said “Welcome Home.” That was a turning point in my life. I snuggled into a class bursting with people. Every square inch of the room was covered in yoga mats. People started moving and breathing (and sweating) in unison and there was this sort of magic that happened. I just kept going back. And I kept getting mentally and physically stronger. I became calmer and more confident. That place was my sanctuary, where nothing mattered, and the worries and anxieties melted away. In 2019 I took my first 200hr Yoga Teacher Training. I felt called to offer this practice that inevitably brought me closer to God and cleared the cobwebs of fear from my mind. I’ve spent hundreds of hours in trainings, workshops, retreats. I’ve studied and practiced the spectrum of yoga asana and I’ve immersed myself in the teachings. I devour books and podcasts and build relationships so that I may become the best version of myself, trying to gain more wisdom in order to bring quality experiences that are not only healing, but fun! I’m the forever student and the sometimes teacher.

In 2020 I sold my skincare company to be more present with my family and started my yoga business. I’ve led yoga in the school system guiding teachers and students, I’ve taught programs at addiction recovery centers, initiated corporate yoga experiences, and facilitated workshops and retreats.

What to expect in my classes? My teaching style is swift, the music is loud, we’ll lift our hearts & minds and all leave feeling a little lighter and brighter. It’s a good time. No judgement. No comparison. Just love.
